This course is designed to improve knowledge base with scientific evidence in regards to TIPS, BRTO, Bronchial artery embolizations, and combined loco regional and systemic therapies for liver cancers. This program is designed to meet the educational needs of interventional radiologist, interventional oncologist, nurses, techs and other physicians at all levels with special interest in interventional oncology.

The presentations in the on-demand activity were orginally presented at the SIR 2017 Fellows Spring Practicum and includes the following:

• Tips for TIPS
• BRTO
• Bronchial artery embolization in malignancy
• Combination therapy

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this on-demand activity, participants should be able to:

• Describe how best to risk stratify patients who may be candidates for TIPS procedures, BRTO, Bronchial artery embolizations, and loco regional and systemic therapies for liver cancers.
• Recognize classification schemes, patient risk factors, anatomy including variants.
• Understand the underlying data supporting decision making in a clinical IR/IO practice.
