This activity reviews the rationales and objectives of forming a multidisciplinary PE Response Team (PERT). The roles of systemic thrombolysis and catheter-directed therapy for acute PE are discussed. The latest evidence supporting systemic thrombolysis and catheter-directed therapy for acute submassive PE are reviewed.
